Time capsule - Quake in Hyper magazine

This is the first in a series of attempting to capture the media buzz around Quake in 1996/97.

In the world before video game journalism went predominantly online, the best way to keep up to date with the latest releases and upcoming games was to read video game magazines.

I happen to be in possession of scans of the some of the magazines from this era. One of the most popular game magazines in Australia at the time was Hyper, which covered all gaming platforms. I've snipped every piece of Quake coverage I could find from Hyper between 1996 and 1997 for you to see here.

Enjoy!
